Carrie Le
Board Chair
Carrie Le began volunteering with the Shepherd’s Center in 2016 as a driver, and has since transitioned to supporting the organization’s communications and technology efforts. She grew up in Austin, Texas, attended Texas A&M University, and started her IT consulting career at Deloitte, traveling nonstop for 4 years. She moved to Northern Virginia in 2001 and worked at the National Institutes of Health for 6 years, with a brief detour in Boston. Married and with a newborn, she returned to the DC area and found her true calling working for nonprofit organizations with a focus on IT and operations management, including as Operations Director for NetHope. In 2013, her spouse Phong was relocated to Sao Paulo, Brazil — so the family, now with 3 kids, became expats for a year and became addicted to pao de quejo (cheesy bread) and maracuja (passion fruit). After returning to Falls Church in 2014, Carrie now stays active by doing yoga, volunteering, gardening, and chauffeuring her kids around. She also enjoys traveling, photography, and the mental challenges of parenting teenagers during a pandemic.
