Online Ride Scheduler & Training

We use a real-time, online system that list rides that are needed along with other important details:

• Starting time
• Anticipated appointment duration
• Starting location
• Destination
• Specific pertinent details about riders

Rides are listed chronologically (most recent first), and volunteers can log in to the system at their convenience to review upcoming rides in order to find the one (or ones) that best match their schedules or locations.

When a driver identifies a ride they’d like to take, they simply click “accept” and call the rider to let him or her know they will be there at the appointed time.

When a new volunteer submits his/her application, he or she will have a short training session with the Transportation Coordinator to learn how the system works. Then, the new volunteer will be able to log in to the system at his or her convenience, accept an upcoming ride, and phone the rider to confirm logistics of the pick-up.
